“Good night Ethan. I can’t wait for our family trip BUT if you sleep in we are going to leave you at home,” Mum said.
The next morning, “Don’t worry Ethan’s not coming because he forgot to turn his alarm on. I warned him!” Mum growled.
Ethan woke up just after his parents left. He shouted out hello mum dad, but nobody answered. Ethan thought his parents were in bed.
So he started packing, had breakfast and got dressed. Ethan ran in to his parent’s room, jumped on their bed… where are they? he thought. They’re probably in the bath room. I’ll wait.
Around 20 minutes later he went exploring to find his parents. While Ethan was exploring he discovered a note that said,
Dear son. You forgot to turn your alarm on and we have left you at home. I
hope you understand. Yours sincerely, Mum and Dad.
Ethan was terrified. He had never been home alone before. Ethan wanted to keep out of mischief. He thought he would get something like a phone if he kept the house tidy and didn’t get in trouble.
So Ethan turned on the T.V and saw that the police was looking for a mysterious guy. That had stolen $100,000 from the bank. Don’t approach him just call the police. The reward is a new I phone 7.
“Cool I would love a new I phone 7 but I said I wouldn’t get into trouble. What’s the time?
Oh it’s only the evening.” Ethan said while gluing his eyes to the T.V
Ooooooooo, Thump, Bang!
“What was that?” Ethan said while chomping his fingers nails off.
Ooooooooo, Thump, Bang!
“There it is again it’s probably nothing.”
But it probably was something because Ethan never talks to himself, only when he’s gets scared.
Ethan went around the house shutting all the curtains because he thought someone was looking at him from outside. Then he saw some people moving in next door. Ethan was so excited for a minute but then he wasn’t anymore because there were no kids to play with.
Then…..
“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH,” Ethan said petrified.
That man on the T.V. was suddenly standing in his house asking him where their money was.
“I don’t know my parents took the money on their holiday.”
But the man didn’t listen and saw Ethan pick up the phone and run away. The police came but nobody was home. Because the man had ran away and Ethan had followed the man and was spying on him so the police knew now where he was.
The man thought he had lost them but Ethan and the police were peeping through a hole in the hedge. As soon as the man turned around they charged at him. In the bag which the man was holding there were gas pipes, matches and flash lights.
As the police promised Ethan got a new I phone 7.
Later on Ethan's parents came home wondering why things were missing but the police sorted it all out. Ethan was a hero.
“But next time I’m going to turn my alarm on.”
